In the year 2050 Galician is the people’s language: heterotopias, language, and sound.

I was invited to speak at the LGx15 regarding my perspectives on the Galician language. See video [in Galician].

The title I chose was «No ano 2050 o galego é a lingua da xente: heterotopías, lingua e son» in which I used the project Sira e o robot to reflect on the situation of the Galician language, and the power of music and translation as a way of creating new meanings. The talk is fairly theoretical, with references ranging from Foucault, Rancière, Coleridge and Hannah Arendt, and sprinkled with some humor for good measure.
